Conditions are favorable for Monsoon to cover entire HP, UP, Utrakhand Punjab and Haryana during next 2-3 days

Most areas of Himachal having rain in past 48 hours

Palampur in Kangra district received the maximum rainfall in the past 24 hours in Himachal according to the meteorological department office in the state. Palampur had 124mm rain followed by Dharamsala 102mm. the rainfalls for the other places are like Shimla 66.6 mm rain, Bhunter 32.8, Manali 30.6,Mandi 11.3 and Sunder Nagar 8.4mm.this rain brought down the temperature in respected places from 2 to 12 degrees Dharamsala had max of 32 and min 21*Celsius , Shimla 24 and 17,Manali 34 and 22,Solan 29.5 and 20.5 and Mandi 34 and 22.18Celsius.

What still few areas in the state are burning due to no rain and one of such is Una where max tem was 40 and min 26.7*Celsius.Met department predicted rain and thunderstorm in almost all places of Himachal in the next 5 days.

Meteorological Centre, Shimla said  that on dated 5th July 2012, SW-monsoon has been arrived  in most part of Himachal Pradesh including most part of Utrakhand, J&K and UP. Normal Line of Monsoon (NLM) passes through Jamnagar, Ahmadabad, Kota, Brailly, Dehradun, Shimla and Jammu.  Director of the department Manmohan Singh said , “Conditions are favorable for further advance of SW Monsoon over the remaining parts of HP, UP, Utrakhand Punjab and Haryana during next 2-3 days.”
