ExCM of Himachal cum Sr. BJP leader ,Rajya Sabha MP Shanta Kumar strongly defended the Modi’s stand and  statement about the need of toilets above temples in the country , and criticized those who objects this idea just for the sake of political gains.

Ina statement issued from his home at Palampur near here on Tuesday , Shanta said, “Modi is the right person to lead India,as he is going in the right direction to benefit the masses, this will naturally irritate  the opponents.” Shanta said that everybody have to start the daily routine from toilets before entering the Temples, and when majority don’t have hygienic toiletry conditions-how could they worship the Lord with purity.

Shanta said,”it is really a sorry state, when we are unable to provide clean toilets to nearly 60 % of the population even after 65 years of independence. After feeling the horrible state of  poverty in the rural India , person like Swami Vivekananda left the idea of ‘Moksha’ and guided the nation to help ‘Daridranarayana’(poorest of the poor).” Shanta said that Modi too following the same path.

He said that the present government is eager to provide mobile and laptop to public instead of looking for their much needed hygiene facilities like toilets. He said that for than 50% of the academic diseases spread due to lack of such needs.
