Chandigarh Administration Donates Air Conditioned Ambulance to Ex- Servicemen Helpline, Chandimandir.

Chandigarh, 01 May 2015: Displaying deep concern about the welfare of ex service men, Chandigarh administration donated one air conditioned Maruti EECO ambulance to Ex-servicemen Helpline running under the aegis of HQ Western Command Chandimandir on 01 May 2015. The ambulance will be used by the Ex-servicemen helpline for transportation of sick and disabled Ex-servicemen or their family members from their residence to various ECHS polyclinic or empanelled hospitals located in the Tricity.

The key of this ambulance were handed over by Shri Vijay Dev, IAS, Adviser to Administrator, Chandigarh to Maj Gen AK Singh, MG Adm, HQ Western Command, Chandimandir in the presence of Shri Anurag Agarwal, Home secretary, Chandigarh, Shri SB Deepak Kumar, DC-cum-President Zila Sinik Board, Chandigarh, Col. KK Kaushal, OIC, Ex- servicemen helpline and Lt Col RK Singh ( Retd), Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Chandigarh

On behalf of HQ Western Command and the Ex-servicemen fraternity, Maj Gen AK Singh conveyed his deep appreciation for this benevolent gesture by Chandigarh Administration and presented a coffee table book on Western Command Chandigarh to the adviser, Shri Vijay Dev. On this occasion, the adviser also assured that Chandigarh Administration is committed to the welfare of Ex-servicemen and their dependents and shall continue to take appropriate measure in this regard.
