The residents of more than 50 villagers

Nahan : The residents of more than 50 villagers under Shillai Tehsil of Sirmour District had been under dark for the last more than more than fortnight due to landslides of continuous rain in area. The HPSEB helpless to restore power in the villages because the Natural calamities and non-availability of facilities in rural hilly areas.

Sita Ram, Sohan Singh, Ram Swaroop of Kamrau, Ram Chander Sharma, Maya Ram, Om Parkash of Khuinal, Naresh Kumar, Atma Ram, Kalyan Singh of Kanti Mashva, Shyam Lal, Kundan Lal of Shamah, dharma Singh of Baldwa Singh of Mashara etc. had been forced to live under darkness for the last more than fortnight.

Hey said that due to continuous rain in area electric poles came down alongwith the landslides when hills changed the fall instead of support. They said that they lodged complaint with the officials of electricity department But the officials failed to fight with nature.

Suprintending Engineer, HPSEB Nahan S.K. Goyal said that the employees had been deputed to work on war footing so that he residents of area could get power supply at the earliest possible.
