Loan awareness campaign will help people in Haryana

Chandigarh, Jan 15–A fortnight-long loan awareness campaign would be organised by the Haryana Backward and Economically Weaker Sections Welfare Corporation for minority communities, backward classes and handicapped persons, from January 16 to 31, 2017. During the campaign, information would be given about various schemes being run by the Corporation. 

        Stating this here today, an official spokesman said that for minority communities, the National Minorities Development and Finance Corporation provided loans at low interest rates and on easy terms for self-employment in various fields. Similarly, in case of backward classes and disabled persons, the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation and the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation, provide loans.

        Loans are provided to these people under the agriculture and related sectors, service sector, vehicle sector or education sector, small business or crafts and traditional business and under ‘Awas Rinn Yojana’ of the State Government. For this, the applicant should be a resident of Haryana. Widows and divorced women of these categories are also eligible, he added.
