 1.The Western Railway zone of the Indian Railways has introduced the “Mobile Train Radio Communication (MTRC) system”.* This system will play a significant role of preventing the train accidents by effective communication.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan on Thursday clarified that the Bharatiya Janata Party has not yet decided to nominate former Delhi Metro chief E Sreedharan, popularly known as 'Metro Man', as the chief ministerial candidate of the party for the upcoming Kerala assembly polls.

Former Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee member KK Vishwanathan, KPCC secretary MS Vishwanathan, DCC general secretary PK Anil Kumar and Mahila Congress leader Sujaya Venugopal resigned from the party in a week.

9. Labour activist Shiv Kumar, an associate of activist Nodeep Kaur, on Thursday got bail in connection with an alleged attempt to murder case which was registered on January 12.

12.The Income Tax Department conducted raids on the properties of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and actress Taapsee Pannu and director-producer Vikas Bahl on Wednesday (March 3) in relation to a tax evasion probe against now shut production house Phantom Films* . As per initial reports, a discrepancy of around Rs 300 crore has been uncovered during the probe.

Three security personnel were killed and two injured in a Naxal-triggered IED blast in the forests of Jharkhand's West Singhbhum district on Thursday* : Three men of the special unit of the state police, Jharkhand Jaguars, were killed in the improvised explosive device blast that took place around 8.45 am at Hoyahatu village under Toklo police station area of the district.
