CM announces ITI for Bilaspur Sadar constituency

Chief Minister,Virbhadra Singh while addressing a huge gathering at Kuthera, in Bilaspur Sadar assembly constituency announced an Industrial Training Institute between Kuthera and Harlog in Bilaspur Sadar constituency. 

He said that he was reluctant to come to Himachal Pradesh from Centre but was persuaded by Smt. Indira Gandhi to come to Himachal. Upon coming to the State firm action was taken against forest mafia widely rampant in the State. Valuable forest wealth was protected with the result that forest cover expanded tremendously benefiting common man and leading to progress of the State.  

Chief Minister said "The road network in the State increased from 280 kms. in 1948 to 37000 kms. as on today. 100 percent electrification providing uninterrupted electric supply to the people in far flung areas of the State have been achieved". 

He also listed developments in other sectors like Health, Education and Welfare. An extensive network of health services from primary to tertiary care has been established in a planned manner in last 69 years. In last about 44 months over 135 health institutions have been opened or upgraded, as compared to only 28 institutions opened during the tenure of the previous government. He also exhorted the doctors to serve in far flung areas with sole purpose of commitment and service to people. He said that the State was awarded as the best big state in field of education by an independent agency and also awarded for inclusive development also. 

He said that teachers and other government employees should not run for transfers. The government knows well about their welfare and the time period they were serving in a particular area. They should serve the people of the State and work honestly. 

He said that the government can provide opportunities for employment but people would have to work hard to exploit these opportunities for their benefit.

MLA, Shri Bhamber Thakur, welcomed the Chief Minister and gave details of  development that had taken place during this period in his constituency. 

Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Shri Rajesh Dharmani, Ex-MLAs, Shri Biru Ram Kishor, Shri Tilak Raj, District Congress President, Kamlendra Kashyap, District Mahila Congress President, Ms. Anjana Dhiman, Member, Zila Parishad, Ms. Savitri Devi were also present on the occasion amongst others.
