Government working to ensure the development : Khattar

Chandigarh, June 25—The Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, has sought special report within 10 dayson the proposed Herbal Park to be built on 200 acres in Pundri under the Eco Tourism Scheme and directed officers of the Health Department to ensure attendance of doctors in the Community Health Centre at Pundri. 
          The Chief Minister was presiding over a review meeting on the announcements made for development works in Kaithal district, with senior officers in Kaithal today. He also reviewed the expansion work on the indoor and outdoor stadiums and four-laning of the Kaithal-Karnal road in Pundri. 
          He took stock of implementation of the announcements made regarding development works in Kaithal district, and directed the officers concerned to expedite work on them. There are sufficient funds for development works and no work would be allowed to suffer for want of funds.
         The Chief Minister directed the officers to identify land for ‘Gau Charand’ in Kaithal where stray cattle would be kept in gaushala and fed. e-tendering system would be implemented to bring transparency in implementation of the development projects.
          Regarding work on the pending announcements made for the Kaithal Assembly constituency, he said beautification and restoration of various ponds in Keorak and Dhand would be done and these would be used for irrigation purposes after cleaning the dirty water of ponds. 
          Mr Manohar Lal also issued directions to the Chief Executive Officer and other officers of the Kurukshetra Development Board to pace up beautification of the pilgrimage sites. Work on building city square and bank square in Kaithal city would soon be initiated. The state government has released Rs 5 crore for this purpose.
          Regarding pending announcements made for the Kalayat Assembly constituency, Mr Manohar Lal said the long-pending demand of this area would be met by giving the status of government college to Kapilmuni Mahila College. Construction work on the community centre, Mini Secretariat, judicial complex and stadium would be initiated soon. He also directed the Kurukshetra Development Board to expedite beautification and restoration work on seven pilgrimage sites.
          The restoration work on Pundrik pilgrimage in Pundri Assembly constituency has been initiated and Pie village has been included in Mahagram Yojana to be developed as a model village. 
        He said that the district administration was constructing a new Nandi Shala with capacity to house 1,200 heads of cattle. All stray cattle would be taken to Nandi Shala and Gaushalas in a fixed time period by the district administration.
