7 November 2017, Himachal Pradesh: Member of Parliament Hamirpur Anurag Thakur has made a commitment to the public of Himachal Pradesh stating that on formation of BJP Government in the State, efforts would be laid to further strengthen the medical facilities in the State, thereby making it one of the leaders in medical facilities in the country.

Commenting on the same, Sh. Anurag Thakur said, “During the regime of Sh. Prem Kumar Dhumal led BJP Government, path breaking initiatives undertaken to make the medical facilities robust and accessible to all. To provide basic health structure at a rural level, number of initiatives was taken in this direction such as Emergency Ambulance service number 108, to and fro facility to hospital for pregnant women and post delivery transport service to ensure safety of the mother and child.”

“It is given to the efforts of BJP that world class medical facilities such as AIIMS, 3 medical colleges, have been bestowed to the State. At the rural level, on one hand medical facilities will be furnished with modern amenities and on the other hand hospitals where posts of doctors and paramedical staff is lying vacant will be well-appointed with the required staff on an urgent basis.

“BJP will make the State a hub for medical facilities, making a model for others to follow.”

“It is under the regime of Sh. Virbhadra Singh that the medical facilities in the State were made as referral hospitals only, thereby compelling the people to travel elsewhere to seek for medical assistance. Once BJP comes into power, this trend will be completely curtailed and the best of medical facilities will be provided to the people within the State itself.”

“I would also like to thank Sh. JP Nadda ji for his efforts in health sector and it is under his able leadership that India’s health sector has witnessed various advancements. Now it’s time for Himachal Pradesh to reap benefits of the initiatives undertaken at the Central level.”
