Institute of Company Secretaries celebrated its 33rd foundation day

The Chandigarh Chapter of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India celebrated its 33rd FOUNDATION DAY with great enthusiasm. In this connection, a seminar was organized titled as ‘CAPITAL RESTRUCTURING, MERGER, AMALGAMATION & TAKEOVER CODE’.
CS Mukesh Sharma, Chairman, congratulated the members and students of the Chandigarh Chapter on the auspicious occasion of the 33rd Foundation Day and welcomed the Guest of Honour and the Key Speakers.The rejuvenating audience was gratified by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Justice J. C. Verma, Retired Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court who heartily appreciated the contribution and efforts of Company Secretaries in providing Quality Management Services. He apprised the role of CS in ensuring good Corporate Governance practices and providing valuable and fruitful guidance for the management of companies.
The Seminar was further garnished by the refreshing lectures of two eminent speakers i.e. CS Pawan K. Vijay, Past President, ICSI and CS Satwinder Singh, Past Chairman, NIRC of the ICSI who deliberated on Takeover Code and Capital Restructuring, Merger and Amalgamation.
The First Edition of the Newsletter of the Chandigarh Chapter was inaugurated by the Guest of Honour CS  G.S.Sarin, Secretary, announced with pleasure, the forthcoming activities and initiatives of the Chandigarh Chapter and inauguration of the ‘Sports Cell’ of the chapter office.
