IPH dept sleeping, land become barren

S.P,Jerath:Nahan :- Thousands Bigha land of more than 12 villages under Chakali Panchayat  of Nahan tehsil in Sirmaur district had become barren  due to non availability of irrigation supply services by the Irrigation and Public Health (IPH) Department of this district inspite of the repeated demands by the concerned villagers since long.

Panchayat  Pradhan  Chakali Jai Prakash and  the area villages residents of  Nihog, Dhirath, Jamyarh, Kariar, Jhamaroti, Dhatu, Gosan, Tikkar, Sarog etc. in a statement issued here today said they had many times requested to provide irrigation facilities so that they could get the production results of their land but none of the concerned department officer took interest to remove their problem.
They said that this had resulted their land to become barren and now they could not have any production from their land.

Assistant Engineer IPH Department Nahan Santosh Thakur when contacted said that he had not received any complaint from any person of the area and if in future received any complaint in this respect, the
action would be taken on the priority basis.,
