Haryana to speed up the development projects

Chandigarh, January 4 – Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has announced to set up a dedicated cell in his secretariat to closely monitor the infrastructural projects above Rs 10 crore on day to day basis so as to ensure early and timely completion of these projects.

The Chief Minister was presiding over a meeting of Administrative Secretaries here today. The State Government has also decided to institute Best Employee Awards in every department to give recognition to outstanding employees who regularly attend office, are courteous to the public and who give innovative suggestions and make positive changes in the departmental work processes.  

He said that the use of Information Technology helps in curbing corruption, improving efficiency in government departments and making delivery of services hassle-free.  Hence, the State Government has created robust IT infrastructure for delivering citizen services in electronic mode and the pace of the same has been accelerated in the larger interest of common citizens.   The short term training programmes for the employees in Haryana Institute of Public Administration should also be started. The government had already decided to set up e-Governance Awards for State Government employees, he added.

While reviewing the progress of Common Service Centres (CSCs), the Chief Minster asked to launch user awareness campaign especially in rural areas so that people residing in villages could also avail the facilities provided in these centres.  He also directed that atleast one CSC should be functional in every ward in the Municipal areas. It was informed in the meeting that revised target of setting 4000 CSCs would be achieved by March 2016.  The Chief Minister emphasized the need to dovetail Skill Development Mission so that every CSC can act as a training institute where young entrepreneur can be trained for setting up future CSCs.  

            He directed the Administrative Secretaries that the village wise list of schemes implemented should be made available online so that people can see the progress of these schemes. As only the last three months of the current financial year are left, he directed for maximum utilization of the available budget under the State and Central Government sponsored schemes, especially under Capital works.

          The Chief Minister also sought survival figures of saplings planted in the current year by the Forest department. He also asked them to provide a detailed list of water harvesting structure constructed so far in Shivalik foothills by the department and their existence as on date.

          Mr. Manohar Lal asked the Administrative Secretaries to ensure proper inter departmental coordination for fast implementation of CMs announcements.

As Haryana entered into golden jubilee year, all departments should make adequate provision in the next budget for the programmes and schemes to be launched in the golden jubilee year, he added.

          The Chief Minister also reviewed the Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ scheme, setting up of international airport in Hisar, progress of Kundli Manesar Palwal Expressway, Soil Health Cards, Herbal Forest in Morni, water harvesting structure in Shivalik foothills, construction of ranney well and tubewells in Faridabad, augmentation of water supply scheme in Nuh and Nalhar Medial College and establishment of CSCs and also given necessary directions in this regard.
