Kangra and Pathankot police operating jointly to eradicate drugs menace

SSP Kangra Sh. Santosh Patial IPS has informed that a special drive to eradicate drug menace in the border areas of Kangra district is being conducted district Police along with Panjab Police . He said the drive launched today in the morning by Kangra Police along with active assistance of Pathankot Police in the bordering area of Himachal and Punjab within the jurisdiction of Police station Nurpur and Indora to nab the persons involved in drug trafficking.
“ Checking of hotels, restaurants, inns and guest houses situated in the area of Nurpur, Kandwal, Indora, Damtal and Dhangupeer is being carried out and search operation is going on by the evening too,” added Patial. He further added that a meeting with SSP Pathankot is being convened in Dharamshala tomorrow to make further strategy to eradicate the drug menace.
SSP Kangra Sh. Santosh Patial IPS, has conveyed sincere thanks to Sh. Sunil Jain Circle Head PNB Dharamshala, for installing new CCTV cameras at public places in the towns of Ballah, Kotla, Dhaliyara, Rehan, Jassure and Shahpur within the jurisdiction of Police Station Dehra, Nurpur and Shahpur of district Kangra. “Such kind of support rendered by Punjab National Bank will help the District Police in preventing and detecting the offences as well as ensuring better traffic regulation in the area,” said Patial.
