Himachal Pradesh Medical Officers’ Association, HPMOA, has request CM Himachal for the abolition of the mandatory bank guarantee of 10 Lakhs, to help medical students of  humble background.

Press Secretary ,HPMOA- District  Kangra, Dr Harshvardhan Singh

Told PTI that the representatives from Himachal Pradesh Medical Officers’ Association Distt. Kangra branch called upon the Chief Minister Sh Jai Ram Thakur  during his last visit to  Nurpur on 15.8.2018, and demanded the abolition of the mandatory bank guarantee of 10 Lakhs. As most of the students from HP belong to a humble background, they are finding it hard to pledge the hefty amount as bank guarantee.

Dr Singh said,” the difficulty in pledging the bond money is leading to a sense of anguish amongst the students and is taking its toll on their mental health and studies.  So we urged the CM to consider early abolition or reduction of the bank guarantee amount.”

Dr Sunny Dhiman, President-HPMOA, Distt. Kangra branch said , “ HPMOA also demanded the immediate release of the Stipend/salary of post-graduates at DrRPG Medical Collage , Tanda which has not been disbursed for past three months. Chief Minister and Health Minister have assured the association that these issues were under active consideration of the government and that those shall be resolved soon.”

Dr Dhiman added that later  Vipin Parmar, Health Minister  issued necessary directions to the Principal, DrRPGMC, Tanda for immediate release of the stipend/salary in the meantime.
