Tanda Medical college Docters performed duties on Sunday to pay tribute to Ex PM Vajpayee.

The doctors of Dr R P G Medical College at Tanda worked on Sunday today to compensate the working of two holidays of 17 th and 18 th so that the patients should not suffer.

Dr Bhanu Awasthi Principal of Dr R P G Medical College at Tanda said, “ In order to enable the people of the state to pay their last respects to the former Prime Minister of India and Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the state Government declared public holiday on 17th and 18th  of August 2018 as a mark of respect to the departed soul. The family of Dr RPGMC Kangra at Tanda has joined the nation in its mourning and pays tributes to this great leader.”

Dr Awasthi further added , “ As per the directions of the Hon'ble Health Minister, Government of Himachal Pradesh, we took  up of the elective surgeries which were scheduled earlier  on 17th August( due to holiday)  on 19thAugust (Sunday) in the public interest. It  was a real tribute to this great leader by the staff of the institution and 13 major surgeries were performed by running 5 routine operation theatres Today.”
