Pass Port Sewa Kendra Demanded in Nahan

Shimla Member Parliament Sh Virender Kashyap today requested Union External Affairs Minister Mrs Sushma Swaraj to open Passport Sewa Kendra  at Head   Post Office at Nahan in Sirmour District in Himachal Pradesh .

 Sh Virender Kashyap   MP   urged  her to provide passport related services  to Sirmour District Residents by utilizing Nahan Head Post office as front office which have to travel to around  150 kilo Meter to State capital Shimla or adjoining  Union Territory Chandigarh for availing passport facilties .

He said that opening of Passport seva kendra will mainly benefit students , youths and trained manpower residing in remote areas of the districts  which have to travel for five hours  for availing passport service facility and  have to waste money , time and resources for repeated visit to the passport offices .

He said that it will directly benefit large number of industrial workers , corporate employees and local population for  and availing passport facility and  and redress passport-related grievances of local residents 

He said that at present 251 Passport Sewa Kendra are being set up in the country out of which 66 passport sewa kendras have been made operational so far in joint collaboration of  The ministry of external affairs (MEA) and the Department of Posts (DoP).
