1. The Allahabad High Court has instructed the Uttar Pradesh government to consider a night curfew situation as the state witnesses a surge in number of coronavirus cases.* The court asked the government to consider vaccination and night curfew of all people.

2. Delhi government has imposed night curfew in the national capital from 10 PM to 5 AM with immediate effect till 30th April.* 

3. There will be no restrictions on traffic movement during night curfew. People can get vaccinated but need to have an e-pass. Owners of ration, general, fruits, vegetables and medical stores will be allowed on e-pass. Print and electronic media personnel will also be allowed to move on e-pass.

4. Buses, metros, autos and taxis will be allowed to ferry only those people who are exempt from night curfew. There shall be no restriction on inter-state and intra-state movement and transportation of essential and non-essential goods. No separate permission or e-pass will be required for such movements

5. Karnataka bus strike: KSRTC, BMTC buses to stay off road*. The employees of road transport corporations have decided to go on a strike on wage related issues from April 7.

15.  Please, release my father", pleaded five-year-old Shragvi, the daughter of a CoBRA commando held hostage by Naxals after an ambush in Chhattisgarh.* The family of Commando Rakeshwar Singh Minhas was in deep shock after the news of the deadly ambush on Saturday and his disappearance broke out. At least 22 security personnel were killed in the attack on the CoBRA battalion of CRPF by the Naxals who claimed that they had abducted Minhas after the ambush.

Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopters doused forest fires at three places in Uttarakhand on Tuesday* , IAF MI-17 helicopters moved to the Kirti Nagar forest division of Tehri district to control the fires by spraying water collected from Shri Kot dam in buckets with a capacity of 5,000 litres. Forest fires were doused in Bariargadh and Sarkyana in Kirti Nagar range and Khirsu in Pauri district on Tuesday.

19. India on Tuesday recorded the highest one-day spike of COVID-19 cases at 1.07 lakh even as the Centre cautioned that the next four weeks are "very very critical" and sought people's participation to control the second wave of the pandemic.
