Very Heavy Rainfall is very likely at Isolated Places on 29th and 30th June

Conditions are favourable for arrival of southwest monsoon in Himachal Pradesh during next few days: Meteorological Centre

Meteorological Centre of Himachal has released today a Special Weather Bulletin regarding Pre Monsoon Convective activity over Himachal Pradesh.

Manmohan Singh Director Meteorological Centre said, “Pre-monsoon thunderstorm activity has commenced over many parts of Himachal Pradesh today . Light to moderate Rainfall has occurred over parts of Himachal Pradesh including districts of Chamba, Mandi, Kangra, Kullu, Solan and Shimla.”

In its release the centre said that conditions are favourable for arrival of southwest monsoon in Himachal Pradesh during next few days.

About the  Weather Forecast and Warning Manmohan Singh said, “ Due to commencement of Pre monsoon thunderstorm activity and subsequent expectation of arrival of Monsoon in Himachal Pradesh in coming days, Widespread Rainfall activity is expected over Himachal Pradesh during the next week.”

It added, “On 26th and 27th June 2018, Rainfall will occur at MANY places over Low and Mid hills and at few places over the High Hills of the state. On 28th to 30th June 2018, Rainfall will occur at MOST places over the Low and Mid Hills and at MANY places over the High Hills of the state along with Heavy Rainfall at Isolated places over the Low and Mid Hills.”

Singh added that Very Heavy Rainfall is very likely at Isolated Places on 29th and 30th June 2018 specially in the districts of Mandi, Kangra, Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur and Hamirpur.
