CM Jai Ram Thakur inaugurates Rs. 6.50 crore MBBS Girls Hostel at Tanda

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur Inaugurated today the MBBS Girls Hostel constructed at a cost of Rs 6.50 crore in the Dr Rajindra Prasad Medical College at Tanda near Dharamshala.  He also laid foundation stone of the Facility Block in the College. This would house doctors and students canteen, bank and other related facilities. This would be constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.95 crore. He also inaugurated the Amrit Pharmacy in the Medical College. This is the second Amrit Pharmacy in the State after one in the Indira Gandhi Medical College Shimla. This would provide medicines and related equipments at a subsidized rates upto 30 to 60 per cent to the needy patients. Chief Minister also visited the hospital and enquired about the wellbeing of the indoor patients.

Earlier, the Chief Minister, after  arrival from Manali at Gaggal airport of Dharamshala  inaugurated a bridge over Gaj khud at Rajol in Sharpur constituency of Kangra district. This bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 3.90 crore.

Health and Family Welfare Minister  Vipin Singh Parmar, MLAs Ramesh Dhawala, Rakesh Pathania, Arun Mehra, Arjun Singh, Mulkh Raj Premi, Ravi Dhiman and Reeta Dhiman, former MLA Dulo Ram, Principal Medical College Tanda Dr  Bhanu Awasthi, Medical Superintendent Dr G.D. Gupta, SP Santosh Patiyal were present on the occasion among others.
