Manali:Initiative to clean the Himalayas taken by Healing Himalayas foundation is yielding results. In less than a five months time they have clean the five major treks of Himalayas. Many volunters are also rendering their services for them and working for this great cause. The foundation is working under the aeigies of Pradeep Sangwan who himself is a avid trecker and mountain lover. This time they have taken the route to beautiful Chandertal lake.

The team of Healing Himalayas foundations had a brief discussion with camping owners (parasol camps and jamaica's camp) and with their support this event was a success. They have planned a same event next year and will clean this lake thrice in a year.

Lake of the Moon, Chandratal lake, once a halting place for traders who went to Spiti and the Kullu valley from Tibet and Ladakh attracts a large number of photographers and adventure lovers.

Growing number of nature lovers is a sign that we are coming back from where we started only this time we bring along Plastic. During our recce we never find such amount of garbage but while cleaning it’s never ending though increasing number of volunteers bring satisfaction. The wealth of the nation is its air, water, soil, forests, minerals, rivers, lakes, oceans, scenic beauty, wildlife habitats and biodiversity… that’s all there is and our commitment to clean and heal Himalayas through our challenging and inspiring initiatives is a huge step to compensate the damage and destruction done by selfish desires of man.

What we are doing to the forests of the world is but a reflection of what we are doing to ourselves and to one another.
