Khattar invites industrialists to setup their ventures in Haryana

Chandigarh, Jan 20 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has appealed and invited the industrialists to setup their ventures and  invest in Haryana and assured to provide them a favourable and friendly environment for their businesses to flourish which will lead to creating large scale job opportunities for the youth.

        The Chief Minister was speaking in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2019 at Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat today. He said that people from different regions get the opportunity to share their views in such summits which opens new avenues for developing a conducive atmosphere for business.

        Mr. Manohar Lal said that Haryana covers 57 per cent area of the National Capital Region (NCR) and in today’s era, it is best state to make investments. He said that 13 districts of the state are covered in the NCR region. In 2016, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) amounting to about Rs 5.84 lakh crore were signed for setting up various projects, the work on MoUs worth about Rs three lakh crore are either on war footing or in the pipeline.

        He said that alongwith railway and airway, better connectivity of roads is available in Haryana. There are 15 National Highways and 29 State Highways in the state which provides a better connectivity throughout the state. Efforts are in the process to develop five big cities on about 2.5 lakh hectares of land on both sides of Kundli Manesar Palwal (KMP) Expressway under Panchgram project. In order to facilitate people, Saral Kendras have been established in each district, sub division and tehsil level. Apart from this, Antyodaya Saral Kendras are also being established where information of all government schemes would be provided to the people. He said that help desks have been set up at each Saral Kendra. Also, online services have been started for redressal of grievances of entrepreneurs, he added.

        The Chief Minister said that the process of setting up Hisar airport is in full swing. Haryana is at third place in terms of Ease of Doing Business. He said that Skill Development University has been established to generate new employment opportunities. Also, a plan is under consideration to establish Global City over 1,200 acres near Gurugram.

        On the occasion, the Chief Minister also held one-on-one interaction with entrepreneurs and answered their queries.

        Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana Industries and Commerce Department, Mr. Devender Singh informed the entrepreneurs about the schemes related to the industries department.

        Director, Honda Industries, Mr. Harbhajan Singh and Director, Munjal Auto, Mr. Anuj Munjal have appreciated the online initiatives of Haryana Government and future expansion near KMP and said that this would open new avenues for development.

        Those present on the occasion included Additional Principal Secretary, Mr. V. Umashankar, Director, Industries and Commerce Department, Mr. Ashok Sangwan and other dignitaries of industries.
