DGP Chandigarh held meeting with Kashmiri living in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: Pawan Kashyap: Senior Officers of Chandigarh Police led by DGP, Chandigarh Sh. Sanjay Baniwal, DIG Dr. O.P. Mishra and SSP/Security Sh. Shashank Anand held a meeting with a delegation of persons belonging to the state of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) who are residing in Chandigarh to reassure them about their safety and security in the city. The persons who attended the meeting appreciated the sensitive and caring nature of the residents of Chandigarh towards them. A minute of silence as a mark of homage and respect to the martyrs of the recent Pulwama terror attack was also observed by all present in the meeting.

            The SDPOs and SHOs have also been directed to hold similar confidence building meetings in their area. Chandigarh Police appeals to all to maintain peace and harmony. Under no circumstances shall anyone be allowed to disturb public order and peace.
