10 lacs farmers in Haryana will be benefited through Kisan Pension Yojana : CM Haryana

Chandigarh, Feb 21 – Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that the government has received the report of the Committee constituted to explore the possibilities of launching the ‘Kisan Pension Yojana’ and the report is being studied now. The Finance Department would be consulted to find out the additional financial burden on this account.

He said that Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi will release the first instalment of 'Kisan Samman Nidhi' scheme, on February 24, 2019 to the farmers' accounts as announced in interim Union Budget. 

The Chief Minister was addressing the mediapersons after the second day of the ongoing   budget session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, here today.

In response to a question, the Chief Minister said that about 10 lakh farmers of Haryana are expected to benefitted with this scheme of the Central Government. As per the scheme, the farmers having up to five acres of land will be benefited. The Central Government has asked all states to provide details and data of the farmers and Haryana will be the first state in the country to provide this data.

Replying to a question regarding AIIMS, the Chief Minister said that the AIIMS given to the Haryana, will be made at Manethi in district Rewari. Apart from this, AIIMS in Badhsa of district Jhajjar is a part of AIIMS in Delhi. 

The Chief Minister said that two soldiers from Haryana attained martyrdom in Pulwana and he has met their families today. As per the norms of the government, the families of martyrs will be given Rs 50 lakh each and a government job. Today, the same has beendeposited in their bank accounts.

On being asked about his meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath and BJP National President, Mr. Amit Shah, the Chief Minister said that it was a routine meeting. He said that elections to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha will not be held alongwith the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. The decision to finalize the name candidates for Lok Sabha Elections is under the consideration of Central Parliamentary Board.
