He stressed that a society, nation and organization forgetting its history cannot move forward on the path of development.

Prof. Dhumal said that no matter how big a person is, but cannot be bigger than the organization. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party, which started with 2 MPs, has reached 303 MPs today. He said that the development of the Bharatiya Janata Party can be divided into three phases. In the first phase as Jana Sangh, in the second phase from 1977 to 2014 and in 2014 as a single majority party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The former Chief Minister said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a nationalist political party committed to establishing India as a strong, prosperous and powerful nation.

The former Chief Minister said that Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee resigned in the political atmosphere that had arisen due to the policy of appeasement of the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in the circumstances after partition of the country. Subsequently Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee started the process of formation of Jana Sangh. The process began in May 1951 and was completed on 21 October 1951 with the formation of Bharatiya Jana Sangh under the chairmanship of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

He said that in the first general election the vote percentage of Jana Sangh was 3 percent and 3 MPs were  elected . In this parliament, the National Democratic Front was formed under the leadership of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Prof. Dhumal further said that with time and with the struggle of the workers, our organization also progressed day and night. He reminded the activists how the Satyagraha was started for the integration of Jammu and Kashmir and on 11 May 1953, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee entered Jammu and Kashmir without a permit under this satyagraha and was arrested there. He was taken to Srinagar where he attained martyrdom on 23 June 1953.

Prof. Dhumal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party was established on 6 April 1980 with the goal of making India a capable nation with five commitments.

He said that the initial phase of the party was a struggle but our leaders and workers continued their struggle. He said that the Lok Sabha elections were held in 1996, 1998 and 1999 and the Bharatiya Janata Party emerged as a single party. Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was Prime Minister for 13 days, then Prime Minister for 13 months and then for four and a half years.

Prof. Dhumal said that today BJP has emerged as a major nationalist force in the country and is committed to the good governance, development, unity and integrity of the country. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP government has achieved unprecedented achievements in a short time.
