Chamba: Bobby Singh: 27 August 2016: Continue rains in Himachal Pradesh has created many problems in the lives of the people. The continue rains creates flood like situation in the most of the areas and cloudburst at many places makes life more miserable with the loss of property and life. The situation in Himachal Pradesh is tense. The conditions of roads are worst and many accidents occured due to this. Many pessengers have lost their precious lives.

The economic condition of the people is not good in Himachal Pradesh. Many do not have Pakka houses to live. almost 80% of population in Himachal Pradesh is lives in villages and many lives in kuchha houses. The continue rains damaged the houses and it is very dengerous to live in those kuchha houses.

The rains caused the flash floods and this brings heavy loss to the agriculture and human loss. The flash floods are extreme events that are sudden, severe and short lived. It is a sudden and often destructive surge of water down a narrow channel or sloping ground, usually caused by heavy rainfall. In Himachal Pradesh, the flash-floods are mostly the result of cloudbursts or blockage of river channel due to landslides.

The continue rains effects are more horrible than the flood itself. The whole economy gets shattered and developmental works comes to standstill.

In many parts of Himachal Pradesh also experienced earthquake tremors of 4.2 magnitude. This may cause havoc in the lives of the people. The time is to access the situation and act.

The government should activate all its resources and helps the people. So far no help is given to any one. The district administration should be on its toes but lackluster attitude of the government machinery will do no good to the people of state.
