Governor Shukla Champions Women’s Empowerment for India’s Development: 41 Women Honored at Nari Shakti Samman

New Delhi, January 4, 2024: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla underscored the crucial role of women in India’s development journey, urging their empowerment as a key driver of progress. During the Nari Shakti Samman Samaroh-2024, he awarded 41 extraordinary women from diverse fields, celebrating their accomplishments and highlighting their potential to propel the nation forward.

Governor Shukla lauded the achievements of the awardees, stating, “Women are playing leading roles in various fields of development and have become an inspiration for others.” He commended their resilience and strength, emphasizing how they have not only thrived in a traditionally male-dominated society but also emerged as leaders shaping the future.

Shukla acknowledged the growing presence of women at the forefront of various sectors, including education, sports, medicine, and entrepreneurship. Governor Shukla underscored the relevance of empowering women in India’s current pursuit of becoming a developed nation. He highlighted the country’s rapid economic growth and its ambition to be the world’s third-largest economy by 2025. He stated, “For the development of the country, we need the entire population, 50% of which is still not empowered and faces various social constraints.”
