धर्मशाला, 31 अगस्त। मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंदर सिंह सुक्खू के निर्देश पर देहरा विधानसभा क्षेत्र के कायाकल्प के लिए एक विस्तृत योजना तैयार की गई है। उपायुक्त कांगड़ा, हेमराज बैरवा ने सभी विभागों को जल्द से जल्द परियोजनाओं की औपचारिकताओं को पूरा करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। देहरा अस्पताल में क्रिटिकल केयर यूनिट बनाने, अधूरे भवनों के निर्माण, और बस स्टैंड के कार्य को जल्द पूरा करने की योजना है। इसके साथ ही, देहरा में लैंड बैंक तैयार करने और नई इमारतों के लिए भूमि चिन्हित करने का निर्देश भी दिया गया है।

टूरिज्म को बढ़ावा देने के लिए लगभग 15 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से पर्यटन अधोसंरचना का निर्माण होगा, जिसमें राज्य पर्यटन निगम का एक होटल भी शामिल है। सड़कों की चौड़ाई बढ़ाने, कालेश्वर में मोक्षधाम और घाट के निर्माण, और बिजली की तारों को अंडरग्राउंड करने की योजनाएं भी शामिल हैं। इन सभी योजनाओं के तहत, देहरा का विकास और सौंदर्यीकरण सुनिश्चित करने के प्रयास किए जाएंगे।


Dharamshala, August 31 – In line with Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s vision for the transformation of the Dehra Assembly constituency, a comprehensive blueprint has been prepared. Kangra Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa chaired a meeting to review proposed development projects, emphasizing the need for all departments to expedite the formalities and submit progress reports to the government. The DC directed departments to swiftly implement the priorities set by CM Sukhu, with a focus on accelerating Dehra’s holistic development.

Critical Care Unit in Dehra Hospital: A Priority

One of the major projects highlighted during the meeting was the establishment of a Critical Care Unit at Dehra Hospital, as proposed by Chief Minister Sukhu. The Deputy Commissioner instructed the health department to finalize the Detailed Project Report (DPR) within ten days. Additionally, pending construction work on buildings such as the Mini Secretariat in Dadasiba, Jwalamukhi, and Dhaliara College were urged to be completed at the earliest by the Public Works Department (PWD). The DC also suggested increasing the number of rooms in rest houses at Pragpur and Jwalamukhi and instructed the transport department to expedite the completion of the Dadasiba bus stand.

Focus on Land Development and Infrastructure

To meet the growing demand for land for various development projects, DC Bairwa emphasized the need for creating a land bank in Dehra. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) was tasked with preparing a detailed land inventory, identifying plots for development purposes. The PWD was also instructed to expedite the design and proposals for constructing a Circuit House and Indoor Stadium in Dehra, alongside the formalities for building the offices of the Superintendent of Police (SP), the PWD, the Jal Shakti department, and the Electricity Board’s Circle office.

Tourism Infrastructure and Beautification Efforts

In line with the government’s commitment to making Kangra the tourism capital of Himachal Pradesh, around INR 15 crore will be invested in building tourism infrastructure in Dehra. A state tourism corporation hotel is also on the cards. The Deputy Commissioner urged officials to identify key tourism spots in Dehra and form a subdivision-level committee involving all departments to ensure Dehra’s beautification. The committee will work towards making Dehra cleaner and more attractive for visitors, with coordinated efforts from all involved.

Solid Waste Management and Dehra Festival

The municipal council was instructed to identify suitable land for solid waste management within a month, while the administration and the language and culture department were directed to organize a “Dehra Utsav” (Dehra Festival) this year to promote the region’s cultural heritage.

Road Widening Projects to Enhance Connectivity

The DC outlined several road widening projects to improve connectivity in the region. Roads from Nagrota Surian to Haripur, Piasa-Khabli Road, Kaleshwar Temple approach road, Dadasiba-Terras, Guler to Barial, and Masroor-Pir Bindli Road are all set for expansion. The widening of the Piasa-Khabli Road under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) has already begun, while estimates for the remaining roads will be prepared by September 15.

Kaleshwar Temple to Get New Ghats and Moksha Dham

At the historic Kaleshwar Temple in Dehra, a Moksha Dham and ghats will be constructed at a cost of INR 1.32 crore. Situated on the banks of the Beas River, this ancient temple attracts a large number of tourists. The construction of these ghats will provide a peaceful and scenic resting spot for visitors.

Underground Power Lines for Dehra

In line with modernizing Dehra’s infrastructure, power lines in the area will be moved underground at an estimated cost of INR 11 crore. The electricity board has already begun the process. Additionally, Dehra’s 132 kV substation will be upgraded to support ongoing development projects like the Zoological Park and the Central University.

Sharma, SE Jal Shakti Ranjeet Chaudhary, HRTC DM Rajkumar Pathak, RM Kushal Gautam, Tehsildar Dehra Karmachand Kalia, DFO Dehra Sunny Verma, District Health Officer Dr. R.K. Sood, Dr. Gurmeet Singh, and other officials from various departments.
