5th Chitra Bharati Film Festival Inaugurated by Chief Minister Manohar Lal

Haryana’s Chief Minister, Shri Manohar Lal, illuminated the traditional lamp to commence the 5th Chitra Bharati Film Festival. The festival aims to promote Haryanavi culture through cinematic expressions, aligning with the government’s Film and Entertainment Policy.During the inaugural event held at Raid Bishop’s Convention Center in Panchkula, Shri Manohar Lal announced the establishment of a film city in Pinjore, near Panchkula, underlining the state government’s commitment to fostering creativity and generating employment.

The Chief Minister also unveiled the book “OTTT Ka Mayajaal” written by Anant Vijay and pledged a financial aid of INR 1 crore to support the Indian film fraternity. The event served as a platform to celebrate cinematic achievements and acknowledge the contribution of filmmakers to society.Highlighting Haryana’s global recognition beyond agriculture, Shri Manohar Lal emphasized the need to showcase Haryanavi language and culture worldwide. The establishment of a film city in Pinjore opens avenues for filmmakers to explore picturesque locations in Panchkula, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

The Chief Minister invited filmmakers to set up studios in the proposed film city in Pinjore, highlighting the excellent shooting locations available in Panchkula and the adjoining regions. He announced that the government would provide subsidies to filmmakers, and a subsidy distribution event is scheduled in Gurugram on March 10.

Shri Manohar Lal expressed his belief in the power of films to influence society positively. He encouraged filmmakers to create content that not only entertains but also imparts valuable cultural and ethical lessons, contributing to the nation’s development.
