AAP’s By-Poll Triumph in Punjab: A Resounding Endorsement of Pro-People Governance by CM Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann hailed the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) decisive victory in the recent by-polls across four assembly constituencies, describing it as a resounding mandate in favor of the state government’s pro-people and development-oriented policies. Interacting with the media after inaugurating a new dining hall for the public at Punjab Bhawan in New Delhi, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude and humility over the win. He highlighted that AAP had successfully wrested three key seats—Chabbewal, Dera Baba Nanak, and Gidderbaha—from Congress, reinforcing the people’s approval of their governance model.

Mann emphasized that these victories have not only strengthened AAP’s position but also deepened their commitment to work tirelessly for Punjab’s progress and prosperity. He stated that the trust reposed by the people validates the various programs and initiatives undertaken for their welfare.

Speaking on national issues, the Chief Minister criticized the Union government for using force against farmers rather than resolving their concerns through meaningful dialogue. He asserted that farmers, being rightful citizens of India, must be allowed to express their grievances in the nation’s capital without intimidation. He took a swipe at the Prime Minister, remarking that while the PM takes pride in resolving international disputes like the Russia-Ukraine conflict, domestic agricultural issues remain unresolved. Mann underscored that the concerns related to the Bharat Mala project in Punjab are being managed smoothly, but the farmers’ apprehensions must be addressed through constructive conversations, not coercion.

On the political front, Mann expressed confidence that AAP, under Arvind Kejriwal’s leadership, will sweep the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. He remarked that AAP has already dismantled the BJP and Congress in the national capital, and the people of Delhi are poised to re-elect AAP for its transformative governance. “The writing on the wall is clear: AAP will create history by forming the government in Delhi again,” he declared.

Addressing incidents of communal unrest, Mann criticized divisive politics practiced by some parties, which, he said, threatens the nation’s ethos of harmony and peace. Referring to the recent violent incidents in Uttar Pradesh, he called for strengthening unity and brotherhood while rejecting hatred-driven agendas.

Meanwhile, Mann highlighted Punjab’s culture of hospitality while opening the dining hall at Punjab Bhawan’s A Block to the public. He shared that the initiative would provide Delhi residents with the opportunity to savor authentic Punjabi cuisine, known worldwide for its rich flavors. He also announced plans to upgrade and open B Block of Punjab Bhawan soon for the public to enjoy more culinary offerings, ensuring the essence of Punjab is shared with the national capital.

The Chief Minister reiterated that AAP’s commitment to public welfare, progressive governance, and inclusive development has struck a chord with people, reflected in both the by-poll victories and the growing support for the party across regions.
