Aarti Gupta has made history by becoming the first female departmental Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, marking a significant milestone in her 33-year-long career. With this appointment, she becomes the 9th director from the department, showcasing her exemplary dedication and service.

Having joined the department as an Assistant Public Relations Officer in 1991, Aarti Gupta’s journey has been one of dedication and perseverance. Her steadfast commitment to her work saw her rise through the ranks, becoming an Information Officer after passing the commission exams in 1992. Over the years, she continued to excel, earning promotions to the positions of Deputy Director in 2009, Joint Director in 2013, and Additional Director in 2021.

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity, Aarti Gupta thanked Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for his unwavering faith in her abilities. Her appointment as Director is a testament to her hard work and dedication to serving the public through the Information and Public Relations Department.
