ADM checked security system of strong room in Dharamshala

Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Rohit Rathore inspected the security arrangements of the strong room in Dharamshala on Wednesday. Election Officer and SDM Dharamshala Shilpi Bekta also accompanied him during this period.

 

Rohit Rathore told this reporter, “after the polling in the district after the assembly elections, the EVMs have been kept in the strong rooms built at the concerned sub-divisional headquarters under strict guard. All strong rooms are equipped with tight security arrangements. EVMs are being monitored 24 hours by establishing a three-tier security system.”

 

The counting of votes for the Legislative Assembly General Election-2022 will start at 8 am on December 8. The administration in Kangra District too is gearing up to make elaborate arrangements regarding the counting of votes. The exercise regarding the preparations related to the counting of votes has been intensified, said a government official.

 

In this series, a training workshop was also organized for all the election officers of the district at Dharamsala .

 

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nipun Jindal instructed the election officers regarding the entire process of counting of votes and all arrangements related to counting of votes including proper arrangement of counting centres.

 

Kangra is the largest populated district of Himachal, having 15 assembly seats out of 68 seats of the state.

 

The outgoing BJP lead assembly has 44 BJP, 21 Congress and 3 other MLAs.
