In a significant administrative reshuffle in Himachal Pradesh, the state government, led by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has transferred and posted several IAS (Indian Administrative Service) and HAS (Himachal Administrative Services) officers. The reshuffle aims to bring about organizational changes and enhance efficiency in various departments. Here are the key transfers and postings:
IAS Officers:
1, Rohan Chand Thakur (2009 batch) has been appointed as the Managing Director of HP Roadways Transport Corporation (HRTC), replacing Sandeep Kumar. Sandeep Kumar has been posted as Special Secretary, Technical Education.
2, Manasi Sahay Thakur (2009 batch) has been posted as the Labour Commissioner cum Director of Employment.
3, Abhishek Verma (2018 batch) has been posted as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Shimla. Previously, he served as the Managing Director of General Industries Corporation.
4, Shubh Karan Singh (2015 batch), who was holding additional charge as the CEO of HIMURJA, has been appointed as the CEO of HIMURJA.
5, Pankaj Rai (2014 batch), who was serving as the Special Secretary of Education, has been relieved of his additional responsibility as the Special Secretary of Planning.
HAS Officers:
Ashish Kohli (2006 batch), who was serving as the Commissioner of Shimla Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as the Secretary of State Transport cum Additional Commissioner of Transport. He replaces Hemis Negi.
Hemis Negi (HAS), who held the post of Secretary, State Transport cum Additional Commissioner of Transport, has been transferred as the Managing Director of HP State Agriculture Marketing Board.
Bhupender Singh, MD of MILKFED, has been posted as the Commissioner of Shimla Municipal Corporation, replacing Ashish Kohli.
The official statement by the Himachal Pradesh Government also mentioned the transfers of several other IAS and HAS officers, including Rajiv Kumar-II, Naresh Thakur, Tashi Sandup, Ajit Kumar Bhardwaj, Jyoti Rana, Vikas Sood, and Nishant Thakur.
