Amritsar looting
Chandigarh , December 19:
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today said that there was total anarchy, lawlessness and jungle raj in Punjab.
“Killings, looting and robbery have become so regular that people have started getting used to such incidents”, PCC president said in a statement here today, while reacting to the broad daylight looting of Rs 18 lakhs in Kathunangal near Amritsar.
“With no fear of law, criminals are ruling the roost in Punjab while Aam
Aadmi Party government
remains clueless”, he said, while pointing out, just two days ago a 20 year old youth was killed as his family could not pay a ransom amount of Rs 30 lakhs to the kidnappers.
“Leave aside the tall promises you had made to people of Punjab before elections, you have failed even in securing the life and property of people”, Warring said while warning that the law and order situation was deteriorating in Punjab at an alarming rate.
Such incidents, he added, have caused genuine fear and sense of insecurity among people. “Goverment is expected to curb such incidents, but opposite is happening in Punjab as these incidents are increasing with government machinery having gone into paralysis.
