Annual Inspection of courts by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Judge, High Court of Punjab and Haryana
Amritsar 15 March 2024–
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Arun Palli, Judge, High Court of Punjab and Haryana alongwith Ms. Harpreet Kaur Randhawa, District & Sessions Judge, Amritsar visited the Civil Court Complex, Ajnala in lieu of courts inspection being administrative Judge of Sessions Division, Amritsar. His Lordship firstly inspected court of Additional Civil Judge, Sr. Divn.-cum-Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Ms. Manpreet Kaur. After inspecting the court-work of said court then Hon’ble Lordship inspected the court of remaining courts of Sh. Ankit Airi, Ms. Gurpreet Kaur and Ms. Charanpreet Kaur, Civil Judge, Jr. Divn.-cum-Judicial Magistrate, Ist Class, Ajnala. After that Lordship interacted with the litigants and heard their grievances and instructed the concerned presiding officers of the court to redress their grievances and to provide them all the facilities whatever they put forwarded before the Lordship. His Lordship also visited the Bar Association office where Lordship was welcomed by the President Sh. Harpal Singh Nijjar, Advocate, where Lordship interacted with the members of Bar Association and heard their grievances. His Lordship also visited front office-cum-Legal Aid Clinic established in the court premises, where his Lordship interacted with the legal aid panel lawyers and asked them to ensure that no litigants should be left without legal assistance. The total pendency of cases in the Ajnala courts was 5490, his Lordship instructed the Learned Courts for reducing the pendency of cases by giving more time in the courts with hardwork.
His Lordship also instructed the concerned presiding officers of the court to keep the building neat and clean and provide friendly and smooth atmosphere to the litigants, public and advocates, so that there should be no hindrance in dispensation of Justice and so the confidence of the public/litigants be maintained continuously in Judicial system.
Thereafter his lordship visited court complex, Amritsar where he was received by the President, Bar Association, Amritsar Sh. Pardeep Kumar Saini, Commissioner of Police Sh. G.S Bhullar, Senior Superintendent of Police, Amritsar (Rural), Additional District & Sessions Judge, CJM, ACJM, Secretary, DLSA and alongwith bar members. Thereafter his lordship inspected the court complex.
