Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal congratulated the people of Delhi for their successful efforts in preventing the supply of contaminated water. Taking to X, he announced that the ammonia levels in Delhi’s water had dropped significantly from 7 ppm to 2 ppm, averting a major water crisis. Expressing gratitude for the people’s support, Kejriwal said, “Many congratulations to the people of Delhi. Our struggle has borne fruit. The toxic water that was being sent to Delhi has now been stopped. Had we not raised our voice, half the population of Delhi would have been deprived of clean water. We have saved Delhi from a severe water crisis.”
However, the political controversy escalated as Kejriwal appeared before the Election Commission (EC) to respond to a notice regarding his claim that “poison” was being mixed in Yamuna water. In a dramatic move, he visited the EC office on Friday without a prior appointment, accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Atishi and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Despite the unplanned visit, the EC accepted the meeting as a special case, citing the heightened election campaign period in Delhi. Sources within the commission confirmed that the meeting was accommodated to ensure transparency and fairness during the ongoing elections.
