On the fifth day of the Paragliding World Cup 2024 in Billing, Austin Cox of the USA continues to dominate the competition, holding the top spot with 2243 points. Close on his heels is Alexander from Kazakhstan, who sits in second place with 2195 points, while Bess Halesz from Hungary ranks third with 2160 points. Ranjit Kumar of India has shown remarkable progress, securing the fourth position with 2150 points.
In the women’s category, Joanna Kokot from Poland leads with 1947 points. Germany’s Daria Altikova follows in second with 915 points, and Taiwan’s Hituse Ting is third with 890 points.
The team standings show fierce competition, with the Jayvik Air Team holding the lead at 5414 points. Kazakhstan’s team is close behind in second place with 5350 points, and India’s Dream to Fly Team ranks third with 5195 points. The eight-day Paragliding World Cup 2024 commenced on November 2 and 94 paragliders, including seven women, from 26 countries are participating in the event.
