Bengaluru Blast: 4 Detained, Security Tightened Across Karnataka

Four individuals are being questioned by authorities in connection with the low-intensity bomb blast that occurred on Friday afternoon at a Bengaluru eatery, injuring ten people. The blast, caused by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), took place at The Rameshwaram Cafe in the Brookfield area, located within the city’s Information Technology corridor.

Police sources confirm that detectives from the Central Crime Branch are extensively interrogating the four individuals, apprehended from Dharwad, Hubballi, and Bengaluru. Bengaluru City Commissioner B Dayananda assures the public that a thorough investigation into the incident is underway, with multiple teams pursuing various leads.

Commissioner Dayananda urges the media to refrain from speculation and collaborate with authorities, considering the case’s sensitivity and security concerns. In the wake of the incident, security measures have been amplified across the state, with particular focus on Kempegowda International Airport.
