Bird Park, a must visit destination for the nature lovers

The Department of Forest and Wildlife, Chandigarh Administration celebrated the 1st anniversary of Chandigarh Bird Park today at Bird Park behind Sukhna lake. .Dharam Pal, Adviser to the Administrator, UT Chandigarh- chief Guest of the function announced one day free entry for all visitors to Chandigarh Bird Park on 16.11.2022. He stated that this will facilitate more people to visit the Park and appreciate the beauty of nature and in turn can contribute in conservation of the avi-fauna.

 

On this occasion, Dharam Pal, IAS inaugurated newly established pre-fabricated Ticket Counter at the entry gate alongwith Mrs.Anita Dharam Pal and Officers of the Administration. He also planted saplings and distributed the prizes to school children participating in Drawing/ Poster Competition on the Theme – ‘My Chandigarh – My Bird Park’.

 

A detailed Management Guide for day-to-day management of the Bird Park and Coffee Table Book highlighting the different phases of development of the Park was released by Sh.Dharam Pal. He also released 15 new born Budgerigar the Budgerigar Aviary.

 

Speaking on the occasion, Sh.Dharam Pal stated that the Park has become a must visit destination for the nature lovers and children both residents as well as visitors visiting Chandigarh.
