BJP Secures Convincing Victories in Himachal Pradesh Lok Sabha Constituencies
In a resounding display of electoral prowess, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has clinched decisive victories in multiple parliamentary constituencies across Himachal Pradesh, solidifying its stronghold in the state. The recently concluded Lok Sabha Elections witnessed BJP candidates securing significant leads over their nearest rivals from the Indian National Congress (INC), underscoring the party’s unwavering popularity among voters.
According to the spokesperson of the State Election department, Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj, the BJP candidate from Kangra parliamentary constituency, emerged triumphant by a substantial margin of 251,895 votes, defeating his closest Congress contender, Anand Sharma. Dr. Bhardwaj garnered an impressive 632,793 votes, while Sharma trailed behind with 380,898 votes. Notably, 6,372 voters opted for the None of the Above (NOTA) option, reflecting a diverse range of electoral preferences.
Similarly, in Hamirpur PC, Anurag Thakur, a prominent BJP leader, secured a commanding lead of 182,357 votes over his INC counterpart, Satpal Raizada. Thakur garnered widespread support, accruing 607,068 votes, while Raizada managed 424,711 votes. The prevalence of 5,178 NOTA votes highlights the electorate’s engagement with alternative voting options.
In the Mandi Parliamentary Constituency, the BJP fielded Kangna Ranaut, the renowned actress, as its candidate, further elevating the contest’s profile. Kangna Ranaut emerged victorious with a notable margin of 74,755 votes, defeating INC candidate Vikramaditya Singh. Ranaut garnered 537,022 votes, whereas Singh secured 462,267 votes. Additionally, 5,645 voters expressed their preference for NOTA, indicating a nuanced electoral landscape in Mandi PC.
In Shimla PC, Suresh Kashyap of the BJP secured a convincing victory over his nearest rival, Vinod Sultanpuri of INC, by a margin of 91,451 votes. Kashyap’s electoral triumph, with 519,748 votes, underscored the electorate’s confidence in the BJP’s leadership. Sultanpuri, with 428,297 votes, trailed behind, while 5,930 voters opted for the NOTA option, reflecting the electorate’s diverse spectrum of preferences.
The BJP’s commanding victories in Himachal Pradesh Lok Sabha constituencies underscore its continued dominance in the state’s political landscape. The resounding mandate reflects the electorate’s endorsement of the BJP’s developmental agenda and leadership, positioning the party for further consolidation of power in the region.
