Car Driver beaten and car set on fireon National Highway under Nurpur Assembly Constituency at mid night

A case of vandalism, a fatal attack on the driver, and the burning of a vehicle were reported in the midnight hours of Saturday in a place called Tatal near Khajian on the Pathankot- Mandi National Highway, under the Nurpur Assembly Constituency of District Kangra. The car driver, Surendra Singh, recounted that he was traveling from Hamirpur with his uncle and niece when, at around 11 pm on Saturday, two individuals on a scooter attacked them, vandalizing the car and assaulting him. Singh added that his uncle, Raj Kumar, who was with him, rushed him to Nurpur Civil Hospital in the middle of the night.

 

 

 

In a shocking turn of events, the same vehicle was later set on fire by the culprits, who poured inflammable material on it at approximately 4 am. The police have taken immediate action by registering a case and investigating the matter.

 

 

 

Confirming the incident, DSP Nurpur, Vishal Verma, stated that Surendra Singh has undergone a medical examination, and a case has been filed under various sections. The forensic team has also gathered evidence from the crime scene, and further steps are being taken to resolve the case.
