Caution alert by Nathpa Jhakri Power project over raise in water level of Satluj River

Caution and alert raised by Nathpa Jhakri Power project over the release of excess water in Satluj which may cause harm to the people who are residing near the river bank or to those who comes for tourism activity.

Due to increasing trend of silt content in Satluj River, Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power

Due to increasing trend of silt content in Satluj River, Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station may shut-down and excess water of about 1100 cumecs will be released from Nathpa Dam. This will raise river water level considerably. It is therefore requested to keep safe distance from Satluj River.
