Chandigarh’s Vehicle Registration E-Auction Announced

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Administration’s Transport Department has unveiled an upcoming vehicle registration e-auction for the new series “CH01CS” and a re-auction of leftover fancy/special registration numbers from “CH01CR” to “CH01-BH.” Here are the important dates and details:

Registration Period:** Vehicle owners can register for the e-auction from ,October 5, 2023 (10:00 AM)**, to October 11, 2023 (05:00 PM).

E-Auction/Bidding: The e-auction/bidding will take place from, October 12, 2023 (10:00 AM) to  October 14, 2023 (05:00 PM).

To participate, vehicle owners must follow these steps:

1. Register on the National Transport website: [https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/fancy](https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/fancy), or visit the Chandigarh Administration, Transport Department website: [www.chdtransport.gov.in](http://www.chdtransport.gov.in).

2. Obtain a Unique Acknowledgement Number (UAN).

3. Ensure the vehicle was purchased with a Chandigarh address.

4. Mandatory documents include:
– Sale Letter (Form No. 21)
– UID (Aadhaar Card)
– Address proof of Chandigarh

5. Deposit the registration fee for e-auction participation and the reserve amount for special/choice registration numbers via Demand Draft (DD) favoring “Registering & Licensing Authority, U.T., Chandigarh” payable at Chandigarh. This can be done at the O/o Registering & Licensing Authority, Near Municipal Corporation Building Sector-17, U.T., Chandigarh.
