Chief Justice Chandrachud Pays Homage at Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh

Amritsar, August 10 — Chief Justice of India, D.Y. Chandrachud, visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Saturday to pay his respects. During his visit, he offered prayers at the historic Sikh shrine, known for its spiritual significance and architectural grandeur. Following his visit to the Golden Temple, Chief Justice Chandrachud honored the memory of martyrs at the Jallianwala Bagh, a site commemorating those who lost their lives in the 1919 massacre.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Justice Anupinder Singh Grewal, ADGP Arpit Shukla, DC Ghanshyam Thori, and Police Commissioner Ranjit Singh were present during the Chief Justice’s visit. The visit underscored the Chief Justice’s commitment to acknowledging and respecting the historical and cultural heritage of India.
