Chief Minister Inaugurates Development Projects Worth Over ₹313 Crore in Fatehabad
In a significant move towards the holistic development of Fatehabad, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various development projects worth over ₹313 crore. This announcement was made during the Pragati Rally held in Fatehabad, where the Chief Minister outlined several initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and public welfare in the region.
Major Announcements and Developments
The Chief Minister made a series of impactful announcements, including a grant of ₹10 crore specifically for development projects in Fatehabad. One of the key initiatives is the establishment of a wildlife treatment center in Baropal, which aims to address the needs of wildlife conservation and treatment. Additionally, as per government policy, the removal of poles in the middle of roads and overhead electric wires will be carried out free of cost. In areas experiencing low voltage, the installation of larger transformers will be undertaken to improve electricity supply.
Infrastructure Enhancements
A major highlight of the announcements is the construction of a boosting station in ward numbers 13-14, subject to land availability. Furthermore, the renovation of the Fatehabad mini bypass will be undertaken to ease traffic congestion. The Chief Minister also revealed that a committee is currently evaluating the feasibility of making Bhuna a sub-division and Bhattu a tehsil. Once the criteria are met, these regions will see administrative upgrades, enhancing local governance and public service delivery.
Commitment to Equal Development
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini emphasized the government’s commitment to the equitable development of Haryana. He highlighted that the previous governments were often mired in regionalism, which hindered balanced growth. In contrast, the current administration operates with the philosophy of “Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek,” ensuring uniform development across all regions of the state. This inclusive approach has seen the execution of numerous development projects that transcend district and constituency boundaries, promoting overall progress and prosperity.
Mission Mode Governance
Addressing the public, the Chief Minister took a dig at the opposition, stating that those who are now demanding an account of the current government’s 10-year tenure should first scrutinize their own record. He pointed out that the previous administration operated in a “commission mode,” where corruption was rampant, and government jobs were often secured through recommendations and financial inducements. In stark contrast, the current government works in “mission mode,” focusing on merit-based recruitment and eradicating middlemen who facilitated corrupt practices.
Testimonies of Progress
The Chief Minister asserted that the true account of his government’s tenure is reflected in the testimonies of the beneficiaries. Young people who have secured government jobs without any financial burden, farmers receiving direct compensation and crop insurance payouts, and elderly citizens who now receive pensions without bureaucratic delays all stand as proof of the administration’s achievements. These examples underscore the transformation brought about by the government’s policies and actions.
Transformative Development in Fatehabad
Reflecting on the past decade, Chief Minister Saini noted the remarkable transformation of Fatehabad. From being a neglected area with broken roads and inadequate water and electricity supply, Fatehabad has now seen substantial infrastructural development. The government has completed numerous projects worth crores of rupees, with many more underway. The construction of high-quality highways, bypasses, flyovers, and railway bridges has significantly improved connectivity and traffic management.
Advancements in Healthcare and Education
In line with the government’s objective to establish a medical college in every district, the Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Government Medical College is being built in Rasulpur village, Fatehabad. Additionally, a 200-bed hospital is being constructed in Sector-9 at a cost of ₹45 crore, and a seven-story, 100-bed hospital is under construction in Tohana with an investment of ₹138 crore. These healthcare facilities are expected to greatly enhance medical services in the region.
On the education front, several new institutions have been established to position Fatehabad as a leader in educational excellence. This includes high-quality educational institutions that cater to the growing demand for superior educational facilities.
Enhanced Connectivity
Efforts to improve connectivity in the region have also been a priority. The Mandi Dabwali-Sirsa-Fatehabad-Delhi National Highway provides crucial connectivity, while the Hansi-Maham-Rohtak railway line offers an additional rail link to Delhi. Furthermore, the Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar, located just 35 kilometers away, ensures that the region is well-connected by air.
Support for Agniveers and Social Welfare Initiatives
The Chief Minister announced the decision to provide reservation for Agniveers in direct recruitment for Haryana government positions. Agniveers will also receive a three-year relaxation in the maximum age limit for Group-B and C posts. Additionally, those establishing their own enterprises will benefit from an interest subsidy on loans up to ₹5 lakh.
In a move to support backward classes, the income limit for the creamy layer has been increased from ₹6 lakh to ₹8 lakh. The Haryana Antyodaya Parivar Parivahan Yojana (HAPPY) now offers free travel up to 1000 km annually in Haryana Roadways buses to 84 lakh poor individuals. The limit for Gram Panchayats to undertake works has also been increased from ₹5 lakh to ₹21 lakh.
Vision for Inclusive Development
Echoing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Saini reiterated the government’s commitment to the inclusive development of all of Haryana. Following the mantra of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, and Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek,” the administration continues to work towards the equitable progress of every region and resident of the state.
In conclusion, the announcements and projects unveiled by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini underscore a dedicated effort towards sustainable development, improved infrastructure, and enhanced public welfare in Fatehabad. These initiatives reflect the government’s mission-driven approach and its commitment to fostering inclusive growth across Haryana.
