Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Inaugurates and Lays Foundation Stones for Rs 78 Crore Development Projects in Sirsa
Chandigarh, July 3 – In a significant move towards the region’s development, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 13 major projects in Sirsa district, collectively valued at over Rs 78 crore. The inauguration ceremony, held at the Multipurpose Hall of Chaudhary Devi Lal University, saw the unveiling of 5 projects worth Rs 10 crore 35 lakh 65 thousand and the foundation laying for 8 projects worth Rs 67 crore 66 lakh 72 thousand. During the event, Chief Minister Singh emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the poor and deprived sections of society. He highlighted the positive impact of Antyodaya schemes, which have significantly improved the lives of the underprivileged by providing benefits directly to their doorsteps, eliminating the need for bureaucratic runarounds. The Chief Minister also noted the government’s proactive steps in various sectors, including automatic pension disbursements for the elderly, educational support for poor children, healthcare provisions for the needy, and income enhancement measures for the economically disadvantaged. Under the Chief Minister’s Urban and Rural Housing Scheme, housing is being provided to the poor, furthering the aim of inclusive development.
The five inaugurated projects, costing over Rs 10 crore, include:
1. A purchase center in village Sherpur at Rs 2 crore 24 lakh.
2. Panna Khokhar road from village Panniwala Raldu at Rs 2 crore 61 lakh.
3. Sukhera Kheda to Asha Kheda road from village Sukhera Kheda at Rs 1 crore 87 lakh.
4. Norang to Asir from village Malikpura at Rs 1 crore 68 lakh.
5. Rampura Bishnoiya road from village Malikpura to Jandwala Jatan at Rs 1 crore 93 lakh.
Additionally, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for eight projects, collectively costing over Rs 67 crore:
1. Government College in Lambi of Goriwala at Rs 24 crore.
2. 26 sub-health centers across the district at Rs 14 crore 43 lakh.
3. Four Block Public Health Units at Rs 2 crore.
4. Expansion of grain, vegetable, and wood markets at Rs 14 crore 84 lakh.
5. Purchase center in village Dhotar at over Rs 2 crore 37 lakh.
6. Purchase center in village Kamal at over Rs 2 crore 19 lakh.
7. Link road from village Giddar Kheda to Ganga to Godikan at over Rs 3 crore 22 lakh.
8. Link project from Raipur via Dhukda to Baruwali II (Punjab Head) at over Rs 4 crore 60 lakh.
Prominent figures, including Energy Minister Ranjit Singh, Deputy Commissioner R.K. Singh, former Governor Ganeshi Lal, former MP Dr. Ashok Tanwar, and former MP Mrs. Sunita Duggal, graced the occasion, highlighting the importance of these projects in driving regional growth and improving the standard of living for Sirsa’s residents.
