Chief Minister Sukhu Participates in Historic Maha Yajna, Emphasizes Preserving Himachal’s ‘Dev Sanskriti’
Rohru, Himachal Pradesh: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu graced the inaugural ceremony of the three-day Maha Yajna held after 36 years in Gavas, Rohru assembly constituency of Shimla district. This grand religious event, held in reverence of deity Gudaru Ji Maharaj, saw thousands of devotees converge from across the region.
Chief Minister Sukhu expressed his delight in being part of this significant occasion and offered prayers for the happiness and prosperity of the state. He acknowledged the deep-rooted faith of Himachal Pradesh’s people in their unique ‘Dev culture’ and highlighted the Maha Yajna as a testament to the state’s rich cultural heritage.
Emphasizing the importance of preserving traditions and cultural heritage, Sukhu reiterated the state government’s commitment to safeguarding Himachal’s vibrant ‘Dev Sanskriti.’ He urged the people to actively participate in conserving their cultural legacy, known for its antiquity and depth.
The Maha Yajna witnessed a warm welcome for the Chief Minister by the local residents. With seven deities and 13 Khunds from Rohru and Jubbal areas participating in the Yajna, the event resonated with spiritual fervor and cultural significance.
Joining the Chief Minister in felicitating the community for the Maha Yajna were Congress State President and MP Pratibha Singh, Education Minister Rohit Thakur, Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mohan Lal Brakta.
