Chief Minister Sukhu Reviews Departmental Progress, Pushes for Inclusive Development in Himachal Pradesh
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu led a review meeting today with Cabinet Ministers to assess the performance of key departments and reinforce the Himachal Pradesh Government’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth. During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of extending the benefits of state development schemes to all eligible beneficiaries, especially those in remote and rural areas, while encouraging ministers to ensure seamless implementation of ongoing programs. The Chief Minister highlighted his administration’s focus on transparency and responsiveness to the needs of all communities, with a special commitment to marginalized sections of society.
Significant decisions and directives emerged from the meeting, marking key points in the government’s roadmap for a prosperous Himachal Pradesh:
1. Inclusive Growth and Equitable Resource Use: Chief Minister Sukhu stressed the importance of ensuring that every section of society, especially marginalized groups, benefits from development schemes. He instructed ministers to focus on the balanced use of resources to support communities in need, aiming to elevate their socio-economic conditions and integrate them into the mainstream.
2. Expansion of Development Programs: New initiatives are being introduced to broaden the reach of state welfare schemes. The Chief Minister encouraged each department to extend the benefits of these programs to the farthest corners of the state, targeting improved living standards for all residents.
3. Monitoring of Flagship Schemes: Chief Minister Sukhu is personally monitoring the implementation of the government’s flagship schemes. His goal is to ensure that support reaches all intended beneficiaries, with a particular focus on improving service delivery for residents in rural and remote areas.
4. Launch of the ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ Program: As part of the government’s commitment to good governance, the “Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar” program has been launched to bring government services directly to rural and remote areas. This initiative allows citizens to address their needs locally, reducing the time and expense of traveling to the state capital or district centers for essential services.
5. Mission of ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’ for Transformation by 2032: Chief Minister Sukhu encouraged all Cabinet Ministers to embrace the mission of ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’ (System Transformation), a vision to transform Himachal Pradesh into a self-reliant and prosperous state by 2032. He highlighted the government’s concrete measures, which have strengthened the state’s economy and laid the foundation for long-term growth.
6. Focus on Public Welfare and Developmental Projects: The Chief Minister called on all ministers to prioritize projects that enhance public welfare, advocating for sustained efforts in developmental areas to ensure growth remains both inclusive and sustainable.
Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri was present in the meeting, signaling strong leadership support for these initiatives. The Himachal Pradesh Government remains steadfast in its commitment to driving balanced, equitable progress across the state, prioritizing transparency, accessibility, and public well-being in its ongoing developmental agenda.
