Cleanliness week is being celebrated on the occasion of World Environment Day

A cleanliness week is being celebrated on the occasion of World Environment Day. As a part of this, Toilet Day was celebrated today, wherein special focus was put on hygiene and cleanliness of the toilets at public places. Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) took a special initiative to sensitize its staff and city citizens towards the Govt of India objective of Clean and Green India by organizing a ‘Nukkad Natak’ today at ISBT 43. “Samvaad Theater Group Chandigarh” has been engaged by CTU to organize such “Nataks”.

 Nukkad Natak was played on the theme of SWACCH RAKKHO, SWACCH RAHO, and gave a message with respect to the importance of cleanliness and hygiene to live a disease free and healthy life. The importance of maintaining cleanliness in the buses was also stressed upon.

Director Transport Pradhuman Singh, General Managers of CTU Satyender Dahiya, Amit Gupta, Yashjeet Gupta and other officials of CTU were present on this occasion.
