CM Bhagwant Singh Mann Appeals for Support in Gidderbaha Assembly Segment, Targets Opponents in Election Rally

Chandigarh, November 5 – In a high-energy campaign rally today in the Gidderbaha Assembly segment, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann rallied support for AAP candidate Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon, emphasizing the slogan “AAP di sarkar, AAP da MLA” (AAP’s government, AAP’s MLA). The Chief Minister called on the people of Gidderbaha to elect Dimpy as their representative to ensure that their demands would be heard and acted upon swiftly, with his signature and that of the Chief Minister himself.

Addressing a large gathering, CM Mann highlighted the importance of electing a candidate who is committed to the local community’s issues. “Once Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon becomes an MLA, your demands will be his agenda, and my government will be behind him, signing off on every development initiative,” the Chief Minister said. He also took a dig at the opposition, particularly targeting Pradesh Congress Committee chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring, Congress candidate Amrita Warring, and former Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal of the BJP.

CM Mann didn’t hold back in his criticism of the opposition leadership, drawing attention to the frequent exits of key political figures from the Gidderbaha area. He specifically referred to Raja Warring’s move to Ludhiana, Amrita Warring’s candidacy, and Manpreet Singh Badal’s shifting political affiliations, underscoring the contrast with Dimpy Dhillon’s long-standing presence and commitment to the constituency. “Dimpy is always here for you, while Raja left for Ludhiana and Manpreet went to Bathinda,” he stated, emphasizing the loyalty and reliability of AAP candidates.

The Chief Minister also spoke about his past political experiences, particularly his association with Manpreet Singh Badal during their time in the People’s Party of Punjab (PPP). He emphasized his ideological differences with Badal, stating, “I did not go along with him when he joined Congress. I took my oath as Chief Minister at Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s native village because I believe in following the martyr’s ideology.”

CM Mann also made a pointed remark about the political career of former Punjab CM and BJP leader Captain Amarinder Singh, noting that while there may be no retirement age in politics, leaders like him should make way for younger, energetic candidates. “I recently saw Amarinder visiting a grain market. There is no retirement age in politics, but in all other fields. I appeal to all such leaders to let youngsters come ahead,” he said. This remark resonated with the crowd, who cheered in support of the Chief Minister’s call for a younger, more dynamic leadership.

In his appeal to the voters, CM Mann urged the crowd to cast their votes for Dimpy Dhillon, pressing the number two button on the electronic voting machine (EVM), which would signal Dimpy’s victory. He humorously remarked that the sound of the EVM would be the “screams” of Raja Warring, implying that the public was no longer swayed by the traditional political tactics of the opposition. “Warring thinks the posters put up by him will convert into votes for his wife, but the public now understands everything,” CM Mann added, reiterating the growing support for AAP and its candidates.

The Chief Minister’s rally in Gidderbaha underlined the rising political momentum for AAP in the state, as the party continues to push for youth-led, issue-based leadership and promises to bring significant change through local representation.
