CM Naib Singh Saini Lays Foundation for Jat Welfare Building, Promotes Unity and Conservation

Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini Emphasizes the Importance of Philanthropy in Indian Culture, Lays Foundation Stone for Jat Welfare Association Building in Gurugram

On August 11, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini laid the foundation stone for a new building of the Jat Welfare Association in Gurugram’s Sector 10, highlighting the deep-rooted tradition of philanthropy in Indian culture. Addressing the gathering, CM Saini emphasized that social work and charitable donations have always been integral to Indian society. He noted that whenever a good cause is initiated with a collective spirit, the community actively participates and contributes.

During the event held at Alpine Convent School, CM Saini announced a financial contribution of ₹31 lakh from his discretionary fund to support the construction of the new building. He congratulated the Jat Welfare Association for this initiative and expressed his hope that the new facility would benefit people from all walks of life, not just the local community but also those coming from distant areas.

A Resource for All Communities

CM Saini underlined the importance of the new building as a resource for the entire community. He assured that the Haryana government stands firmly behind the people and is committed to supporting such initiatives. The Chief Minister acknowledged a request made by the Jat Welfare Association for land to accommodate parking needs and assured that this demand would be addressed in accordance with the state’s policy.

Boosting the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign

In his speech, CM Saini also called upon citizens to actively participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reminded the audience of the long struggle endured by freedom fighters to secure the nation’s independence, allowing citizens today to breathe freely. CM Saini emphasized that it is everyone’s collective responsibility to ensure the success of this campaign, which aims to promote unity and national pride.

“Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has appealed to the nation to hoist the Tiranga at every home during Independence Day. To make this campaign a success is our shared responsibility. For the vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,’ we must all participate with enthusiasm,” said CM Saini.

Environmental Conservation: A Call to Action

Expressing concern over diminishing greenery and rising temperatures, CM Saini urged the gathering to take active steps toward environmental conservation. He referenced the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign launched by Prime Minister Modi, encouraging people to plant trees in honor of their mothers. CM Saini stressed the importance of nurturing these trees, whether planted at home, in nearby parks, or along roadsides. The Forest Department, he assured, would provide saplings to support this initiative.

Double Engine Government’s Developmental Achievements

Highlighting the achievements of the ‘double engine’ government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Saini stated that the government has made significant progress in mission mode over the past decade. He noted that every district in Haryana is now connected by national highways, bringing unprecedented ease of access. Referring to Gurugram, he remarked that it is now possible to reach Mumbai in 14 hours and Katra, the gateway to Vaishno Devi, in 6 to 7 hours. CM Saini also mentioned various measures the government has taken to improve the welfare of farmers.

### Further Support from Leaders and Associations

The event also saw participation from other notable figures, including Bhiwani-Mahendragarh MP Dharambir Singh, who stressed the importance of noble objectives in ensuring the longevity of any institution. He urged the association’s office bearers to engage as many citizens as possible, ensuring proper guidance for the youth. Dharambir Singh announced a contribution of ₹21 lakh toward the building’s construction.

Rajya Sabha MP Subhash Barala also expressed his confidence that the new building, once completed, would serve as a valuable resource for the entire community. He praised the Jat Welfare Association for taking on the responsibility of constructing the largest Jat building in Delhi-NCR.

Former Minister and BJP National Secretary OP Dhankhar, who presided over the event, highlighted the building’s potential as a symbol of social harmony. Although constructed by the Jat Welfare Association, Dhankhar assured that the facility would remain open to all communities, making it a unique example of unity and cooperation.

In addition to CM Saini’s contribution, Minister of Forests, Wildlife, and Environment, as well as Sports, Sanjay Singh, pledged ₹5 lakh toward the building’s construction, with other dignitaries also offering financial support.

The event was attended by various notable figures, including CM Saini’s OSD, Virender Bhadkal, Jat Welfare Association President Pritam Singh, other executive members of the association, and district administration officials.
